First Day of Fall!

*********************

It's a balmy 59 degrees and overcast.

The forecast from WKTV: "Good morning Central New York! Unsettled weather arrives today, the first day of fall, with warmer, summerlike weather by tomorrow.

Clouds and showers greet you on the way out the door this morning. Temperatures will start out on the mild side, but the umbrella may be needed at the bus stop.

A weak cold front passing through the area today will bring light rain showers through the morning. Light rain will turn into scattered showers in the afternoon. Cloudy, with highs cooler than yesterday, in the upper 60s. Mostly cloudy tonight, with a passing shower or two. Overnight lows quite mild, near 60.

Warm and a bit humid tomorrow, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Most of the day will not rain. Temperatures by the afternoon will climb into the mid to upper 70s. Warm weather will hold for Thursday as well, before our next surge of cooler, drier weather arrives by Friday.

High pressure builds in for Friday and Saturday, with more sunny, dry weather. Highs on Friday and Saturday expected to be in the upper 60s to near 70, with overnight lows in the upper 30s and 40s. A larger storm may impact our weather for the end of the weekend into early next week, bringing with it cool, wet weather."

I stopped at Alcotts' to check out progress on the "Haunted House." It will open early in October and will benefit AYSO! (Those who dare explore will also be rewarded with a pumpkin to take home!)

Watch for details.
