NATIONAL CHEESECAKE DAY!

The WKTV weather forecast: "Less humid, pleasant weather today, with a return to humidity and wet weather by tomorrow.

A few showers and sprinkles in spots early this morning will continue to push east and exit the area. In addition to some light wet weather, some patchy fog in spots as well. Look for the fog to lift by mid morning, with a return to sunshine for all. Humidity will start out high this morning, but will noticeably drop as we head through the day. Comfortable this afternoon, with sunshine and highs near 80.

The humidity will surge back into the area as a warm front approaches tonight. Clouds, showers and storms late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Overnight lows near 60.

Tomorrow looks unsettled as an area of low pressure crosses Central New York. Showers and thunderstorms are a good bet during the morning and afternoon as another cold front approaches. It will also turn quite humid again by Friday afternoon. Highs near 80.

Drier weather again to start out the weekend. Saturday looks excellent! Partly sunny and dry with highs near 80. Turning a bit warmer for Sunday and Monday. More showers and storms are likely by Monday."

Yesterday was a real "washout!"

Not only did Farmers' Market fold early, but the scaffolding and bracework around the bandstand columns was removed and - having nothing to do with the weather but adding to the gloom - no more photos arrived from Florida!

This comment arrived at the blog site: "wait....waterville has a marching band? How did I miss that? Great pics!!! I wish I'd known yall were going to be there, I would have come to see!!!"

It was signed "marybeth" and I'd love to know WHO "marybeth" is and what connection she has to Waterville!
