FARMERS' MARKET TODAY!

It's Recyclables Day! 61 degrees and dry

The Forecast from WKTV: "Warm and humid weather will continue today, with some changes by tomorrow.
A mild, humid start to the morning. With a bit of sunshine this morning, temperatures will race into the low 80s by early afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will fire up along a cold front advancing from the west. Expect showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Some showers and storms will produce heavy rain and gusty winds.

Storms come to an end tonight, with overnight lows in the mid 60s. Drier weather expected Thursday, with much less humidity. Expect partly sunny skies with highs near 80.

A second surge of humidity expected on Friday. More showers and thunderstorms expected Friday evening as another cold front moves in from the west.

A pleasant stretch of weather expected this weekend with sunshine and highs in the low 80s."

Vendors and shoppers who arrive at the Park early, today, will find this rather pretty "structure" waiting for them!

All eight galvanized steel posts are in place. Four already have Fypon columns installed over them; four more will probably be set in place today.

Once a post "sleeve" has been slipped over the steel pipe, Mike Tower pours grout between pipe and Fypon post: he knows, already, that that's a very successful method of installation!

Right on!

According to a sign at the end of their Deansboro driveway, "Longview Farms" has fresh Sweet Corn! That means that they'll have some in the Park, too!

I have an E-note from Jill Getman at the Waterville Public Library in re: the Monk Rowe performance on Friday evening ----

"If the weather is nice the Monk Rowe with John Hutson Concert will be in the library garden. If so, tickets will not be needed and we encourage people to bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc. There will also be lemonade and baked goods for sale from the Friends of the Library. If the weather does not cooperate, we will have to move into the Program Room where tickets will be required due to space. Moral of the Story: Even if you haven't picked up a ticket, come, and hopefully we'll be able to fit everyone outside or inside!"

"Ace circulation man, Travis Olivera, gives service with a smile to his mom, Leslie Olivera VanWormer the other day at WPL. PDCute! Incidentally, Travis is a spring journalism grad from Utica College, engaged to be married later this summer--- and on the prowl for a job in the industry. He's a natural reporter and, though we'll miss him here, we hope he's discovered soon."

FOR THE RECORD

The price of gasoline at Nice 'n Easy in Sangerfield is holding at $2.69.9.

Here's what it was a year ago!

Have a great day, everyone!
