It's Garbage Day!

56 degrees and clear.

WKTV predicts a; "Beautiful start to the work week...

Gorgeous start to Monday with wall to wall sunshine throughout the morning and afternoon. With the sunshine and southerly winds, temperatures will climb back into the low 80s with low humidity. Tuesday will start off dry with an increase in clouds by the afternoon as another storm system approaches. Rain and thunderstorms will begin to develop late Tuesday afternoon and evening and continue into Wednesday.

Behind the cold front, quiet but cool conditions to end the week. Some signs of a warm up for the end of the weekend.

There was a large, happy - but bittersweet - gathering, yesterday, at the Firemen's Field Pavillion as a crowd of her friends got together to remember Pam Howard Camp, who passed away in July. Everything she loved was there: lots of people, lot and lots of bikes, some great music and a glass or two of beer.

She'd have had a good time, for sure!

Gil Condon sent this really great photograph of Fr. John Powers and his team, taken in 1950 or 1951. Do you recognize any of these fellows? (Thanks, Gil!)
