GREEN WASTE DAY
GREEN WASTE DAY
From WKTV: "Finally, some much needed warm spring weather will build in over the next several days. Record cold temperatures this morning! Our overnight low broke the record low for the date, which was 31 degrees back in 1932. Widespread frost has been reported all across the region. It is very unusual to have frost this late in the season. With a warmup arriving this week, it's very likely this will be the last frost for the Mohawk Valley for the season. High pressure overhead will weaken and shift to the east. It will allow for plenty of sunshine this morning and afternoon, before some clouds from an advancing cold front move in later on in the day. Highs will be much warmer than yesterday, in the upper 60s to near 70. This cold front will drop in from Canada, but will put its breaks on and stall just to the north of us. Skies will average partly cloudy tonight with overnight lows not as cold, in the mid 40s. Warm air will continue to steam into the region tomorrow and Thursday. Sunshine both days, with highs near 80 tomorrow, and well into the 80s on Thursday. Humidity levels expected to be low, so this will not feel like the traditional 'hot and humid' summer day. A cold front will move on Thursday night, with the chance of a shower or storm. Cooler weather Friday and into the Memorial Day weekend with highs in the low 70s."

Even though it's chilly, the village looks ready for Memorial Day.
Flags have been placed on telephone poles along Stafford Avenue, Sanger Avenue and right through the business district.

About Morels: I found the remains of some of the light, golden-brown variety in my back yard, but some small "critters" had gotten to them first!
