I received an email from Patty Louise early this afternoon that read:

"Someone in Madison had decided to keep her, but thanks to Denise Carr of North Brookfield, who coordinates a Rescue Me in North Brookfield, we found out who the person was. Steve picked her up just 30 minutes ago.

And yes, that was Fred running loose not once but twice yesterday. He first busted out the window in the laundry room and then one in Mary Kate's room to, we think, go look for Lucy. Our neighbors will appreciate that he will no longer sit in the yard and howl in grief. We are just happy beyond words to have this work out. "
